Located in the center of Puerto Vallarta, Casa Kimberly was gifted to Elizabeth Taylor by her lover at the time, Richard Burton. He owned the casita right in front and had a replica of the bridge of sighs built to connect both properties, and escape the paparazzi better.
The stars fell in love with Puerto Vallarta, and made Casa Kimberly their love nest. The luxury hotel has since been renovated and features nine beautiful colonial rooms, each more beautiful than the other.
We stayed in the Velvet Suite, which is definitely the most beautiful room we’ve ever stayed in. With the view of the bustling city, the ocean and the Sierra Madre Mountains in the background, we barely left our room. The beautifully carved bed, freestanding bath & outdoor Jacuzzi are all details that made it our favourite hotel room in the world.
We also had the chance to spend a day in the Elizabeth Taylor Suite. With its heart shaped bathtub, marble bathroom and private pool overlooking the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta.
Velvet Suite
After visiting many suites on property, our favorite was our room, the Velvet Suite. On the second floor of Casa Kimberly, it has a large balcony with jacuzzi, where you can see all the city lights sparkle at night! It is also right over the courtyard where you can see Mariachi bands playing for the guest eating at The Iguana Restaurant. We barely left the room during our whole stay here as it was so comfortable and luxurious.
Elizabeth Taylor Suite
The most beautiful & luxurious suite of the property used to be the personal quarter of Elizabeth Taylor. It is accessed by a private elevator which opens on the bedroom, adorned by a stunning crystal chandelier lighting the beautiful dome painted mural of cherubins in the sky. This suite has a large wrap around terrace overlooking the city with its own private pool & private jacuzzi
Katharina Suite
The Jacuzzi overlooking the city, framed by the flourishing bougainvillea makes the Katharina Suite special! The ceiling of the bathroom is a beautiful brick domes which brings so much charm to this room. Located on the third floor of Casa Kimberly, it absolutely has the best bathtub view.
Casa Kimberly is perfect for honeymooners, or for celebrating any type of occasion! The view of the city & proximity to both the ‘Centro’ (center of the city) and the Romantic Zone makes it so easy to get around! Truly a gem you shouldn’t miss, hidden in the hills of Puerto Vallarta!
