A digital nomad retreat is a chance to collaborate with people you may have never had the chance to meet otherwise. You get to exchange skills and grow your business alongside amazing individuals. You work in paradise while exploring different parts of the world at the same time.

It’s like a vacation where all the logistics are planned for you. Details such as accommodation, transport, group activities, sim card, networking events, and co-working spaces are all taken care of. You do not have to plan anything before the retreat. The structure is set and you can then customize it to best fit your habits and needs.

Community – Meeting 10 amazing people who live and understand the digital nomad lifestyle.

Connections – Benefiting from each other’s skills and knowledge is so valuable.

Workflow – Sitting beside other inspiring freelancers who are working hard naturally pushes you to work harder.

Community

In the past 5 years working on the road, we rarely met other digital nomads who work from the road! The community aspect of the retreat was really what attracted us in the first place. Being able to exchange information with people who live and understand the digital nomad lifestyle. We are usually moving from cities to cities and connecting with other travelers. However, most of the time, we get to stay with them for only a couple of days before we each go our own ways. Living with the same group of people for a full month was incredible and being able to explore Bali together was the best part of this work retreat.

What’s amazing about Work Wanderers is that every participant can bring a partner with them for free! They will get the entire retreat and activities for free (except the co-working space, which you can add separately). This way, you get to share this unique experience with someone you love!

Connections

Every week we had Master Classes where we learned the different aspects that can be beneficial to freelancers. From learning how to build a mobile application to Pinterest marketing, each class opened our eyes to another aspect of the digital nomad life. The retreat also provided casual weekly skillshare meetings. It was a great occasion for all the participants of the retreat to share their knowledge with each other. It’s true that you can learn pretty much everything online nowadays. However, when someone who’s succeeding in his field teaches you in person it feels much more valuable and rewarding.

We also participated in goal-setting meetings every single week. The action of writing our goals and saying them out loud made us much more accountable to get them done! Our month with Work Wanderers gave us new tools to apply both in our professional and personal life.

Workflow

We never experienced what it is like to work at a co-working space before the retreat and it was a game-changer for us! We always thought we worked great in our hotel rooms, but once we stepped foot in at the Outpost, our workflow was never the same. Being surrounded by so many other creative people who are working hard has an effect on you. You really can’t procrastinate for too long! The environment makes you work harder, be more focused and we got so much work done during that month.

We started enjoying waking up super early and the attitude we had towards our workload changed immensely. Before the retreat and since we started working online, it felt as if we were always working and thinking about emails from morning to night. With the co-working space, we would work for a couple of hours every day and then leave all this behind to go enjoy the beautiful Bali sunsets.

Work Wanderers is hosting another Bali retreat in October 2020, as well as a Cape Town retreat in November 2020. We think that it’s an experience that every single freelancer should do once. You will feel a sense of community you could only get with the best digital nomad retreat. Don’t miss the chance of living this life-changing adventure!
